Happy New Year

It seems that all of us have taken off to celebrate the new year early, but I wanted to say thank you to all our readers who have stuck with us this year. We’ve been overwhelmed by the great commenters and readers who email us, I’m hoping we can really start building on that this year. The other guys are just hoping I start pulling my weight again. Maybe one of those things will happen!

Happy new year, and may 2013 be a little less absurd!

      Y’know, I remember reading an interview with Lyle Lovett about 20 years ago, and he said that he often found his best songwriting to happen when he was feeling unhappy. He said something like, “it seems like it’d be silly to wish to be unhappy, just for the sake of writing songs.” I’d be pleased for sane politics, and more blogging about music & novels. But hey, we’ll what we can with what we’ve got!
